I love finding healthy products for my family. A few years ago, I decided to cut out as many scary chemicals as I could from the products we use around the house. When I had the chance to try Thaumaturgic Bio Mist, I jumped on it.

Trying it Out
I wanted to try this multi-purpose skincare product because it’s free of a lot of the chemicals and additives I try to avoid. The only ingredients are water and eloctrolyzed salt. That means no artificial fragrances- fragrance is the new second hand smoke! We normally use over the counter products for cuts and scrapes, even though I don’t like what’s in them. So this is a great alternative for us!
Baby E is in a retaliation phase. When Miss H grabs him to give him a choke-hold hug, he has started fighting back. As a result, Miss H has tons of little cuts! I first tried this product on a little cut on her finger. It wasn’t healing, even though it had been there for about a week. I think she had bumped it over and over, so it was red and irritated. Band Aids don’t ever stay on, so I usually just give up on finding solutions. I sprayed Bio Mist on it once a day for three days. The product says it can be used 2-3 times a day, but we just tried it once since I wasn’t sure how her skin would react. The redness went down a little after one day, and after three days, it looked a lot better! You can tell from the picture that the little scrape on the top was almost gone. It’s a little hard to see because of the impossible angle that Miss H twisted her finger, but also because it’s so much better.
And another scrape-
I felt a little more confident about this product after trying it on H’s finger, so I dabbed it on a cut near her eye. Baby E had dragged a plastic chair across the patio, and caught Miss H’s face on the way. The first time I applied it, she said it stung a little. The next few times, she felt completely fine. After three days of using it, twice a day, the scrape had almost completely healed. This is not a usual thing for us. Sometimes it feels like these scrapes and cuts hang on for weeks (like H’s poor little finger!)
Baby E has really sensitive skin, so I wasn’t sure how this product would work for him. It didn’t irritate his skin at all! He had a nasty bite on his arm from a little friend at the gym’s childcare. After two days of Bio Mist, it’s looking a lot better! I’ll update with those posts as soon as I can!
Scrapes and cuts on the face worry me the most because I don’t want them to scar. This product says it can also help with scar reduction. After healing her face so quickly, I believe it! We won’t have to worry about sunburns for awhile (even though Colorado is unseasonably warm this fall!) but this product also helps to heal them. I read that Thaumaturgic Bio Mist can be used as a toner, and I’m going to try it out. It healed my child so quickly that I can’t wait to see what it does for my skin!
I mentioned that H said it stung a little, but that was only once out of probably 6-8 applications. I’m not sure if that counts as a downside. It is a little pricy, but I am positive it will last a long time since only a few applications seems to do the trick.
