I’m excited to host our second Charlotte Mason book club in the Charlotte Mason Early Learning Facebook group. We’ll meet Monday nights in May and June to discuss For the Children’s Sake: Foundations of Education for Home and School by Susan Schaeffer Macauley. I haven’t read this book yet- I’m long overdue!

Why For The Children’s Sake?
For the Children’s Sake has been credited with revitalizing the Charlotte Mason movement in America. (Okay, isn’t that thought in itself just AMAZING??) Many people say that it’s the first book that they read on their Charlotte Mason journey, and it’s what convinced them to use her philosophy in their homes. Lately, several new-to-Charlotte-Mason mamas have asked me where to start with the philosophy. Reading this book for our Charlotte Mason Book Club seems like a great place!
Each week, we’ll discuss the assigned reading on Facebook Live at 9:30 PM EST. If that timing doesn’t work out for you, then you can always watch the replays later (and please, still chime in with your two cents in the comments!) To join us, just request to join the Facebook Group. Note: For the protection of the group members, I will review profiles for a few criteria. If any of these is not obvious, I might send you a PM 🙂 Also, if your children are older, you are still welcome in our group!
Each week, we’ll read 15-30 pages. I love that reading with a group helps keep me reading!
I love the way that these book clubs build a community- a group of like-minded moms who can share their experiences, ideas, and hearts. I hope you’ll join in on our Charlotte Mason book club!
