January is the perfect time to start reading one of Charlotte Mason’s volumes, especially if you haven’t dug into these riches yet! Home Education, which addresses a child’s education from the ages of 0-9, is the best place to start if you want to use this philosophy in your child’s early years. This winter, I’m hosting a Home Education book club in the Charlotte Mason Early Learning Facebook group.

We’ll read about five pages a day, and finish the book in 11 weeks. I tried to set a pace that moves faster than a snail, but is still doable. On Monday nights this winter, we’ll meet in the Facebook group to discuss what we’ve read. I’ll post a live video, and you can comment to share your perspective with others!
How to join the book club:
- Join the Charlotte Mason Early Learning Facebook group. Please answer the quick questions I’ve set up to filter out people who aren’t Charlotte Mason homeschool moms (or dads, grandparents, and teachers!)
- Read the assigned chapters by the date on the schedule.
- Go to the Facebook group on Monday nights at 9:30 PM EST and look for the live video. My face will undoubtedly be frozen in the most unflattering frame possible.
- Watch the live video and chime in with your thoughts. If you can’t watch it live, no biggie. Just watch the replay and comment anyways 🙂
I know the time is not ideal, but it’s tricky with all the US time zones to find one that works for everyone. I’m praying that this is a time of learning and community-building for all who join!
