If you have children in their early years, then you are blessed, my friend. Not only do you get the honor of raising precious little ones, but you have some time to prepare for and pray over their future education. Learning about Charlotte Mason’s philosophy now, while your children are still young, will help you ready your heart, mind, and bookshelves.
But, when we’re sleep deprived moms of very young children, reading all of Charlotte Mason’s words is difficult. Starting with her principles is wise.
Charlotte Mason’s 20 Principles
Behind every idea and recommendation that Charlotte Mason gave lies a principle. Her volumes lay out 20 principles that laid the foundation of her philosophy. When we learn these principles, we are empowered to make educational decisions for ourselves. We no longer have to worry “Would Charlotte Mason approve?” because if we understand the principles, WE can decide what fits and what doesn’t.

I put together a study guide for you, with resources and links to help you understand each principle. You can read through the assigned sections of Charlotte Mason’s volumes to give you a deeper understanding of how her philosophy works.
Complete the study guide on your own, or with a small group. You can sign up for your study guide below.

It looks like I’m having some issues with my opt-in forms. Working on it! Until then, you can go to the home page, subscribe there, and you will get the subscriber library pass code. These are the first forms in the subscriber library 🙂
I see now that I needed to become a subscriber so I signed up and got the printable. Thank you!
So glad you were able to become a subscriber! It’s the first printable in the library 🙂
